Shortly after the arrival on Thursday, the welcome dinner in the castle’s restaurant provided for the first assembly since last year’s summer outing. Friday morning professionals split to attend either the M&A or the competition law seminar organized with a view to discuss the latest developments in relating legislation, but not less significantly in an attempt to contribute with practical considerations to the training of junior lawyers. Late in the afternoon everyone joined to participate in sport events aimed at actively compensate the morning’s intellectual engagement. Archery and beach volleyball proved to be popular, but presumably most remarkable were the series of football matches aimed at triumphing on the Annual Challenge Cup, which was for the first time accomplished by the team of the Prague office. In the evening, as the most spectacular event of the day, the second anniversary of bpv | LEGAL ALLIANCE was celebrated with a splendid birthday cake and a karaoke show.
Saturday the outing agenda was set to guarantee a relaxing and entertaining whole day trip on the northern countryside of lake Balaton. The day started with a visit to the ruins of the 13th century castle of Szigliget, staging a stunning panorama at the surrounding landscape. In the manor of Salföld some colleagues were even picked by the wranglers to actively assist in the traditional horse show, but then everyone had a free choice to either go on a horse riding to the neighboring fields or take a horse coach trip to nearby medieval monastery. Following a short “swimming” stop at lake Balaton, the evening was spent in a cozy atmosphere with wine tasting on the hill of Badacsony.
bpv | Jádi Németh is proud to have organized the 2008 bpv | LEGAL summer outing, and hopes that the pleasant location and the stimulating spirit of the annual encounter, accompanied with various training and relaxing programs, were served to the satisfaction of all colleagues from the jurisdictions of the Alliance, as it may well be reflected by the photos shot during the summer outing.
