Proceedings against energy giant MOL terminated without finding an infringement
The competition enforcement proceedings initiated against MOL, a major Hungarian oil and gas public limited company, for an alleged abuse of dominance have been terminated with a commitment according to which in the next five years the changes made to the wholesale listed prices of MOL will be tighter (within a range of +/-one per cent) and will reflect the changes made to the Platts reference prices. The question of whether this will be sufficient to attract new entrants to the Hungarian wholesale diesel fuel market remains open.
